ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
“I am an old hippie from the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia. I have had multiple careers since leaving the mountains, but wound up in Newport News - retiring from Ferguson Enterprises as a Business Analyst, after 25 years. I have been crocheting since the age of 12 and doing macrame since my early 20's. I also knit and weave. I love all things fiber!! I managed a small craft shop when my children were young (kept them in the shop with me) and it was there, that I taught crochet and macrame. After moving to Fl in the early 80's, I continued to do fiber crafts while working civil service at Elgin Air Force Base. I am looking forward to teaching an age old craft that is near and dear to his hippie's soul. Peace !!”
