ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR

“I have always doodled with a pencil and had an affinity for the arts. As a child, my parents enrolled me in art lessons with a hometown artist after my mother declared that all I did was draw and color! As an adult wanting serious artistic direction, I began to take drawing classes at a local art center in Ohio. Those classes challenged my abilities! I entered the art shows there and started to win awards and sell my paintings. The knowledge I received in those drawing classes was exactly what I needed to get started in other art mediums. I love them all, but pastels and oils are my favorite! Fondly remembering the classes I took as a child, I taught art to students of all ages for many years in a homeschool co-op environment. I also passionately taught kids and adults in my studio when I lived in OhioI now live in Deltaville to be close to family. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart, Ray. We have three daughters and seven grandchildren, and family brings us the greatest joy!”
